For this project we are revisting a dead or an old brand that hasn’t been updated in a while and reimagine them as if they were a brand that is created in recent time
I decide on the brand Maruchan with is known from their instant noodles. I chose Maruchan partially on nostalgia and partially because their brand at least their packaging has not been updated and many products produce by them does not work well together.

For the design I focus mainly on the name of the brand Maruchan and their slogan. Maru meaning round, as in the shape of a ball or a child’s face.The word chan is a suffix, used with a child’s name. “Chan” is used to show endearment for a child. This supports the slogan of Maruchan that being “Smile for All”. Because of this my design focused on making Maruchan’s brand still intact but also showing endearment and friendliness throughout the new brand.
